Want to find out how many people are playing your main legend? Check out the stats we've compiled.
The statistics we're able to track from Apex Legends are slowly but surely opening up. Recently, we got our hands on the usage rate for each of the current legends. Let's see how they shake out.
No surprise here - Wraith is the number-one legend with a 19.4% usage rate. I've made the comparison of Wraith mains to Genji mains in Overwatch. The ability to avoid damage and run away is huge in Apex Legends, and most teams are going to have someone playing Wraith.
Wraith is also at the top of the leaderboard in kills-per-match with 3.6.
Bangalore is very close to Wraith in usage rate at an even 19% and has a similar KPM at 3.2. The Bangalore smokescreen ability is similar to Into the Void from Wraith. This, combined with her passive speed boost makes her an easy pick for a lot of players.
Lifeline is probably the most team-oriented character in Apex Legends. She's a classic healer and has the passive ability that allows her to use shields and medkits faster than other legends. On top of that, you might not need to carry as many healing items with a Lifeline on your squad.
Lifeline has an 18.6% usage rate with a 3.1 KPM.
Lifeline marks the end of the Big Three legends in Apex. Bloodhound drops to a 15% usage rate at the number four spot. He's versatile and his abilities help the whole team, but he's doesn't have the built-in survivability that some of the others have.
Mirage is clearly the first legend that most people are unlocking once they save enough Apex Coins. His bamboozling abilities make him stay alive for longer, especially his passive. Players love to "thirst" in Apex Legends, but Mirage's decoy makes him able to hold on a bit longer.
His usage rate is well below Bloodhound's at 10%, but his KPM is actually higher. Mirage gets 2.8 kills while Bloodhound only has 2.5. Pick up the slack Bloodhound mains!
Pathfinder - at 9.2% - seems to be a popular pick for new players. His abilities are easy to understand and his kit is intuitive. The grapple provides some nice mobility, but his ultimate ability seems to be a bit more situational than some of the others. Pathfinder players average 2 kills per game.
Gibraltar was my first legend when I first started playing, but I've since moved away from him. He only gets picked 4.7% of the time, and his kit is a bit underwhelming.
This is especially the case when you consider his passive ability. The shield makes for an easy target, and the damage it absorbs isn't enough of a trade-off for giving away your position. Gibraltar averages 1.9 KPM.
Caustic rounds-out our list as the least-popular legend in Apex. This is probably because a lot of players chose to unlock Mirage instead of him, so we may see an uptick in Caustic playtime as more players earn Apex Coins.
Caustic only sees 3.9% of squads, and a lot of people consider him to be a bit underpowered at the moment. The Nox gas relies on a camping strategy to work in most scenarios, and not many Apex players enjoy that playstyle.
